Why Hybrids Beat Solar-Only in Nigeria
Pure off-grid sizing for the worst harmattan week makes systems needlessly expensive. A hybrid lets you size sensibly for normal conditions and keep the generator as insurance, cutting capital cost while keeping reliability. It is the inverter-charger, not the panels. Panels are commodities; the inverter is the brain deciding when each source runs. Undersize it and everything downstream disappoints. Ask any installer two questions: what is the inverter’s continuous rating, and what is its surge capacity?
